Altar cloths are used for rituals, rune casting, and as a centerpiece for your altar. It also can be used as a wrap to protect your ritual tools, and rune sets. These particular altar cloths are made from 100% Natural Lithuanian Linen, with the design printed using an oil based block printing fabric ink.

About the Design.

This beautiful design is modeled after the Vegvisir, as seen in the Huld Manuscript. The Icelandic manuscript called “Huld”, presumably from the word “hulda” meaning secrecy, was made by Geir Vigfússon in 1860. Each Vegvisir is individually hand printed upon the linen using the linocut block carved in my shop, presenting a beautiful and unique ritual element for your altar or sacred space.

These galdrastafir (Icelandic Magical Staves) are said to help the user find his or her way by sea or land in harsh conditions, even when the road is not known.
In modern esoteric use, the Vegvisir is often used in a more metaphoric sense to help the user find his or her way on their spiritual path. For this reason it has become a popular choice as a spiritual tattoo.

Fabric weight is about 205-210 gr/m (medium heavy)
Linen fabrics is manufactured in Lithuania, EU.
OEKO-TEX certified fabric (no harmful chemicals used in production).

CARE:
machine washable (40 C/104 F);
tumble dry on low heat;
wash separately or with similar colors.
For pure wrinkle linen fabric - we do not recommend to iron your linens but if you must, do it on low heat when the garment is still a little damp.

This is a MADE TO ORDER ritual cloth, and may take three to five days to process.
