Altar cloths are used for rituals, rune casting, and as a centerpiece for your pagan or heathen altar. It also can be used as a wrap to protect your ritual tools. I decided to craft this Wiccan inspired altar cloth after creating one just like it for my partner. She loved it!

This alter cloth is natural brown rabbit fur, light to medium dark, with the linoleum block design hand printed on the soft tanned leather side in permanent Black or Red ink, and measures approximately 14" X 16." Sizes and color vary from hide to hide, but I make every effort to provide an altar cloth that most closely matches the listing photos.

Natural Edges vs Trimmed and Clean!

You can also opt for a more raw, wild look for the ritual cloth! By leaving much of the jagged edge unaltered, I can offer the ritual cloth for a more affordable cost to the buyer, since I don't put the extra work into the process of crafting your ritual cloth.

The symbols on this altar cloth denote the Elements: Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit. A pentagram or pentacle (a five-pointed star sometimes surrounded by a circle) is often used to symbolize Earth and its properties – stability, material wealth, the body, and practical affairs.

The Pentacle and Pentagram

Spirit = Topmost point Air = Upper Right Water = Upper Left Earth = Lower Left Fire = Lower Right.

The circle around the star symbolizes unity and wholeness. Tracing a path around the pentagram, the elements are placed in order of density – spirit, fire, air, water, earth. Earth and fire are basal, fixed; air and water are free, flowing.
